Yesterday, he tweeted “doing alot of interesting set design for this shoot on Wednesday. Gonna spend tomorrow overseeing the building process of a very stylized boxing arena.” – This should be interesting!
• UK group JLS’s next single due for release in America on September 14th, will feature Shontelle. Production duo ‘The Runners’ posted a message on Twitter announcing that she will be featured on their track entitled ‘Ay Mama’. Here is the WORLD PREMIERE of Shontelle’s anticipated “Impossible” music video directed by TAJ (Anthony Mandlers prestige), who is best known for directing music videos for artists like Rihanna, Kristina Debarge, Justin Bieber, Usher, Jerimah, and more! The video features singer/model Steph Jones, who acts as Shontelle’s inattentive leading man that loves her, but is far too focused on his own music career to give her the love she needs.

“Impossible” was released on iTunes in February, since then it’s impacted radio and reached the Top 50 Mediabase and iTunes Top 100 Pop charts. Keep requesting at your local radio stations and get it on iTunes now!

Rising pop singer Shontelle is ready to unleash the video for “Impossible,” the sensational first single from her sophomore album, No Gravity.

The Taj-directed clip features another rising star, singer Steph Jones (aka Jordin Sparks‘ BFF), as Shontelle’s inattentive leading man. Jones’ character loves her, but he is far too focused on getting his music career off the ground to give Shonny the love she needs. Total sad face!

For such an intense shoot, Shontelle and Steph kept the mood light and playful on the Los Angeles set. The full video will be released tomorrow.

‘Rise Again’ – the song written by international reggae sensation and Grammy Award-winning artist, Shaggy, to support the relief efforts following the devastating earthquake that rocked Haiti on 12th January – is available on iTunes for download and purchase for 99 cents (US) now with the artists and label donating their proceeds to the Digicel Haiti relief fund.

‘Rise Again’ is a Caribbean song, which was written and performed by Caribbean artists for the people of Haiti. And with the New York Times hailing the song as “fast becoming a post-quake anthem,” ‘Rise Again’ has had a fantastic reception and is already getting heavy rotation radio airplay and news coverage across the globe.

Directed by internationally renowned film and video director, Jay Will, and filmed around Port Royal in Jamaica, the video’s central theme is of people from across the Caribbean coming together to rebuild Haiti and help the people of Haiti to rise again.

Artists featured on ‘Rise Again’ include Shaggy; Sean Paul; Sean Kingston; Barbadian Artists, Alison Hinds, Shontelle Layne and Edwin Yearwood; Trinidadian Soca Artists, Destra Garcia, David Rudder and Kes Dieffenthaller; Jamaican reggae artists, Tessanne Chin and Etana; and Haitian artiste, Belo. Earlier this month, Shontelle had a photoshoot in Brooklyn (NY) with celebrity photographer “Robert Ascroft”, for her upcoming album “No Gravity“, slated for a Spring 2010 release on SRP/SRC/Universal Motown Records.

The highly anticipated sophomore album is expected to have a much harder and edgier sound, nothing like what fans would expect from her. The stunning lead single “IMPOSSIBLE” (produced by Arnthor Birgisson) impacted radio yesterday and will be available on US iTunes next week! (February 9th, 2010)

Licky will follow up as the official 2nd single leading into Summer after “Impossible” in the US.
