Shontelle’s blazing club banger “LICKY (Under the Covers)” is the first song and video from her highly anticipated sophomore album on SRC/Universal/Motown records, which is slated for a 2nd quarter 2010 release.

“LICKY” is being released to the clubs while the stunning ballad “IMPOSSIBLE” (produced by Arnthor Birgisson) is impacting radio in February, with major pop and rhythmic stations already buzzing over her phenomenal vocal performance. The music video is scheduled to be shot at the end of January.

Shontelle’s new album follows her 2008 debut “Shontelligence“, which featured the hit single “T-Shirt”, which sold more than a million copies worldwide , was a top 15 single in the US, and was top 5 for over a month in the UK. Shontelle’s duet with Akon, “Stuck With Each Other”, was the featured song from the 2009 Touchstone Pictures movie “Confessions of a Shopaholic”, and was a top 10 hit in the UK.

Shontelle also toured with Beyonce throughout Europe last summer, as well as performing at major festivals in England and Japan.

With such follow-ups as “DJ Made Me Do It“, “Kiss You Up“, “Say Hello To Goodbye“, and collaborations with hit makers Sean Garrett, “No Doubt’s” Tony Kanal, and Akon protégées Rock City, Shontelle has crafted an album loaded with smashes that will keep her high on the charts throughout 2010 and beyond.

Last week we showed you the first official promo from Shontelle’s anticipated as yet-untitled album coming this Spring 2010! The lead single “Impossible” received amazing feedback from everyone so far and was even already added to major radio stations in the US before it’s official radio impact date on February 2, 2010!

“Licky (Under the Covers)” is being serviced to clubs, but was also added to radio stations across the US! We may really have a double headed monster coming our way!

With the “Shontelligence” era is just about over, we now progress onto Shontelle’s second album coming this Spring 2010. She turns it up a notch both appearance and music wise, get ready for a whole new edgy and sexy Shontelle coming your way!

Shontelle recently shot her video for her new single Licky (Under The Covers) in Los Angeles, it was directed by Ray Kay. Licky impacts radio in January with a new album to follow in April.

She has been in the studio with DJ Frank E & Sean Garrett, Jimmy Harry & Tony Kanal, Arnthor Birgisson, Harry Sommerdahl, and Martin Hansen. In the near future she will be working with Jim Jonsin, Danja, Rico Love and SRP among others.

“Superwoman” (Prod. Stargate) from Shontelle’s debut album “Shontelligence”, is not only one of the best songs on the album, but a true anthem for women empowerment. Recently official club remixes of the song were sent out to the UK for promo until her new smash single “Licky (Under the Covers)” impacts radio early next year (January 2010). Track listing below:

With the Licky promo era and buzz still going on, Shontelle is getting ready to shoot a very *LUSH* music video for her new single “Licky” next week Wednesday (November 18th) with music video director Ray Kay.

He directed sleek cinematic videos for many popular artist like Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Amerie, Sean Paul, Ciara, The Backstreet Boys, Adam Lambert and many more! The music video is rumored to be choreographed by JaQuel Knight (Beyonce – Single Ladies), but that should be confirmed by Monday!

Let me introduce you to Hal Linton, he is an SRP/Universal Motown recording artist & songwriter, producer, multiple BMA award winner,  and one of the best voted BET Rising Icon’s. His talents are truly promising and will leave an indelible mark on music. GET FAMILIAR!

That said, you should be super excited like I am, to hear the song they both recorded in studio recently titled ‘Scream’. It was ‘magic’ and close sources say it’s a HIT!

Mr Hudson is a British band based in London, best known for his hit single ‘Supernova’ feat. Kanye West. There are rumors flying around that they recorded a song titled “Do It” in London recently. We’ll just have to wait and see then huh? Check out the photos below.

Shontelle is heading back to the UK to promote her new single “Battle Cry” and also to perform at T4 on the Beach in Weston-super-Mare on July 19th. Shontelle is also currently recording songs for her second album, due out early 2010.

The Jamaican R&B/Reggae band named ‘J-Status’ is having a videoshoot tommorrow (April 21) for their reggae single titled “Pieces” which was revamped recently with a feature of Shontelle, so of course that means Shontelle is going to be in the music video!

Springroove is one of the most popular music festivals that is held across Japan/Tokyo every year, and this year Shontelle will be accompanied by other artist like Akon and T-Pain. I know I’m waaaayyyy behind with the blog but I’m back! Soooo much has gone down since the last time I checked in with you guys.

Here’s what has happened in my life since we last chatted: OBAMA became President (proud to have my song “Battle Cry” on his Yes We Can compilation album). I went to the Confessions of A Shopaholic premiere in NYC (my new single featuring Akon “Stuck With Each Other” is the title track from the movie and is featured both in the movie and on the soundtrack. We wrapped up the New Kids on the Block tour in the UK. I went to my first Grammys…

The Grammys were amazing but spoiled for me by the Rihanna/Chris Brown incident because she is a friend, and I love her. I was so sad and disappointed about the entire series of events. I attended a huge cosmetics convention where I represented VEET (I’m the new face…and LEGS of that brand). I worked with Do Something (dosomething.org) on some very important PSAs. I enjoyed many New York Fashion Week shows and parties.

I performed at an amazing charity event with Conde Nast Publications where celebs and regular folks alike donated dresses for girls who cannot afford to buy nice dresses for their proms and some of the dresses were auctioned to help raise funds towards this as well.

I taped a reality show for Hearst Publications that’s similar to Project Runway. Guess what! I am the host of the show! Three students were selected from the High School of Fashion and Design in NYC to compete to design a dress for Kat DeLuna — it was a surprise for them! Kat will wear the winning design on the red carpet of Universal Motown Records’ Annual Ultimate Prom! I had such a blast meeting the three girls and mentoring them. Check my Kyte TV player for a short update from myself and Kat. I’ll keep you guys posted about when the show will air and all the deets! It’s so fab! FASHION FASHION FASHION ROCKS!!!

I went back to London for a photoshoot and to tape the UK’s biggest music show on Channel 4, The Album Chart Show. I performed an acoustic version of “T-Shirt,” hosted a Top 50 countdown and also performed “Stuck With Each Other” with Akon and his band! It was amazing!
